Forever More.

This was a poem I wrote for a school English task, It’s aim was to communicate what real love actually is:

Our love is like the bird that breaks his wing
Stuck on the ground he ceases to sing
Slowly he mends, and he soars once more
Into the sky that he can’t help but adore

Our love is like the trees in fall
They are left bare, with nothing at all
Never mind, the leaves will be back by next year
Luscious, green and forever held dear

Our love is like the very sun
World plunged into darkness when the day is done
But fear not, light will return
The day will begin, no need for concern

For without you I’d be in disarray
A ship lost at sea, to its captain’s dismay
We hurt each other with the wrongs we commit
But my love for you, I’ll never cease to admit.
